Displaced from LaPlace

We have been currently evacuated to Rogers, AR Tuesday morning due to hurricane Isaac coming directly through LaPlace.   We have had very extensive flooding where we live.  We have heard through neighbors that they feel God spared our home and church.  Praise the Lord!  However, we also heard first hand that many of our church members were rescued by boat and buses Wednesday afternoon as water began entering their homes.  There are several schools and our library etc, that were also damaged. Paul has been working hard trying to keep up with things there and our church members by phone, texts etc. We will stay here at least another day or two until water and power are restored and the roads become passable again. Please pray for our community as we begin this restoration phase of our lives.

On a brighter note we are spending this time visiting our family and friends we have here.  Our old church family has really wrapped their arms around us and prayed for us which means the world to us.  Having that love and support has truly meant a lot.  Samuel and Christen have enjoyed spending time with their grandparents, cousins and old friends they have not seen in over two years.

I will try to send a few photos of our visit and town in a future Blog entry when I can.  Please continue to pray for us.
