Where a kid can be a kid

Sorry to disappoint you if you thought this would be an entry about a visit to Chuck E Cheese. Where else can a kid be a kid? Why the park of course. Last fall all our play equipment in the park had to be removed as it had gotten old and rather unsafe. This has been a little hard on the kids at times because this is where they get to play at recess. Finally our subdivision was able to install some of the new play equipment this week. Some ducks came by to supervise in the project. Notice the new picnic tables that have already been added too.
Samuel is really getting big enough now to do quite a bit of hard work now. Here he is helping to dig the hole for the posts.
Our neighborhood is full of a lot of great people who come out to help when there is a job to bo done. Samuel had his hole under control so the other men worked together on another. I think there is something wrong with that arrangement, don't you? LOL After putting it together, a lot of muscle power was needed to move and lower the set into place. Thanks guys.
All the kids helped to spread the new mulch that was added.
There is great joy in knowing you did a job well done. Swinging is always relaxing after a hard day of work.
Stay tuned as we hope to get a second playset installed in the near future.
